Questions to Answer Before a Stove or Oven Is Removed

Identify the fuel, installation type, access path, and separation work before scheduling haul-away.

A freestanding range can usually roll or slide out after safe disconnection. A wall oven or cooktop is secured to cabinetry or a counter and must be removed from that installation before ordinary haul-away.

Is it freestanding or built in?

Share a full front photo and a side view if available. The image helps distinguish a slide-in range, freestanding model, double wall oven, or cooktop.

What powers it?

Electric and gas appliances require different disconnection steps. The removal appointment should begin only after the power or fuel connection has been made safe and the appliance is ready to move.

Do not pull on a gas line, cut a cord, or test unfamiliar connections. If you are unsure, use a qualified technician or plumber before the pickup.

Can it clear the kitchen?

Measure the appliance, doorway, island gap, and any turn into the hall. Remove loose racks and trays. Clear cookware and small appliances from nearby counters so the crew has an unobstructed work zone.

Tell the provider about stairs, floor transitions, and recent refinishing. A floor runner and low dolly can be planned when those conditions are known in advance.
